Type of People:
The people who come on the Fort Seward, Inc. wagon train come from all walks of life, and are involved in numerous types of professions. Most are appreciative of family life and values. Most enjoy the outdoors, camping, hiking, horseback riding, and/or a little adventure.

What Ages:
There have been people from just a few months old to into their 90's on the wagon train. Recommended is that participants who come with small children, be mentally and materially equipped to handle the adventure. Older persons should consider consulting with their doctor, prior to attending this event.

Reasons to try a pioneer wagon train:
People come for numerous reasons. Some just want to get away from the "rat race" of modern living. Some want to come to spend some quality time with friends and/or family, without all the daily distractions of the modern world. Some have their own saddle horse and just want to enjoy a week riding with a wagon train. Others want to camp out, hike, and ride the wagons because they can enjoy nature in a way impossible from a motor vehicle. Many want a little family type adventure with just some good old fashion fun. Then there are those who have an appreciation for the life and hardship the pioneers endured, and they just want to hear, touch and see a little bit of what it was like.
